About this project

A free D&D 5e character builder and playable sheet, built and maintained by one developer.

Why it exists

This is a passion project. I made it because nothing like this existed when I needed it. I already owned the expansions but I couldn’t use them on any sort of character sheet creator, nor could I use them in session. I needed something that would make character building easy and simple, but also allow me to use the sheet interactively in a session.

Who builds it

It’s built and maintained by a single developer who goes by ThatOneDude, working a full-time job and going to school full time at the same time. Updates happen in whatever hours are left over, so progress can be slow, but this project is not abandoned.

Why there are no ads

There are no ads here, and the goal is to never need them. Keeping the site running, fast, and free of ads still costs real money every month. If this tool has been useful to you, any support, whether that’s a one-time contribution or an ongoing subscription once one exists, is genuinely appreciated and goes straight back into keeping it alive. Support the project.

What isn’t included

Content from Unearthed Arcana and from Critical Role is copyrighted and protected, so it isn’t part of the builder. We hope to include it one day, but as of now we can’t afford to.
